In this six-hour workshop, We will be shooting with Profoto Studio Lighting Equipment.  I’ll be going over basic prep and setup, lighting equipment and how I use it, modifiers and how to achieve specific looks, and TONS of juicy shooting details to help you feel extra versed in your next studio session. I will guide you through my process of lighting and art directing for portraits, beauty, and fashion with some of my agency model friends using some of my favorite setups. You will walk away with lighting techniques and how to command a set to photograph your own killer images!   

A limited number of in-person attendees will have the opportunity to take control of the camera to create their own masterpiece. You'll have ample time to capture stunning images that will elevate your portfolio to new heights.

Dauss will be taking comments and questions in person and via web in real-time, so don’t be shy, you can chime in at any time to make sure you’re up to speed in each moment. You’ll walk away from this experience with fresh new portfolio images, a better understanding of studio light, and how to manipulate it till your creative heart is content to use in your next sessions and campaigns

In addition to a light lunch and refreshments, we'll provide all the equipment you need to get started, including Profoto lights and modifiers and CheetahStand Mods and Grip. Just bring your camera, lenses (85mm or 50mm prime, 24-70mm, 24-105mm, 70-200mm recommended), and memory cards, and we'll take care of the rest.

Who is this Studio Lighting Masterclass for?

From beginner or intermediate to pro photographers who would like to learn more about studio shooting, shaping light, and making it all work for them on set. We’ll be shooting an agency model, styled and ready for fresh portfolio images.

What do I need for the course?

This will be an in person workshop with LIMITED SPOTS, (also available as a live webinar) with open Q&A, so feel free to have a notepad with you to take notes, or to write down any questions you may have and the answers to follow.

• Your camera and dress for a photo shoot - comfortable and professional 

• Lenses (85mm or 50mm prime, 24-70mm, 24-105mm, 70-200mm recommended)

• Memory cards, camera charger, light meter if you own one, and a Profoto trigger if you own one. Don’t worry if you do not own a Profoto trigger we will have one for you (let me know which camera you use when you sign up)

  Please note: A laptop is not required as we will not be covering retouching during this workshop.
